The Account Created field shows the date your Sorceress account was created. This field is informational and cannot be edited.
Quick links from your profile
At the bottom of the profile page, you will find quick links:
- Setup — opens the Settings page for local server setup and troubleshooting.
- Account & Billing — opens account and billing management.
Settings and local server integration
The Settings page is used to configure the optional Sorceress local server integration. This is separate from your online account profile.
The local server lets Sorceress browser tools work with files and processing on your computer. It is used for features such as:
- Local projects.
- Game previews.
- Filesystem access for tools that need to read or write local project files.
- Audio and video processing when optional media support is installed.
- Supported local AI workflows.
The integration is opt-in. Sorceress does not attempt to contact the local server until you click Connect local server.
Connecting the local server
To connect the local server:
- Open Setup from your profile page, or open the Settings page.
- In Local Server Integration, click Connect local server.
- If your browser asks for permission to access other apps and services on this device, click Allow.
- If the server is already running, Sorceress shows it as connected.
- If the server is not running, follow the Local Server Setup instructions on the page, start the server, then click Test connection.
The toolbar at the top of Settings shows the current server state. The local integration can appear as:
- Disabled — local server integration is turned off. No local connection checks are sent.
- Testing / Checking / Connecting — Sorceress is trying to reach the local server.
- Connected — Sorceress can reach the local server.
- Offline — local integration is enabled, but Sorceress cannot reach the server.
- Status unknown — click Test — integration is enabled, but you have not tested the connection in the current page state.
When enabled, use Test connection to check whether the server is reachable. Use Disable to turn off the integration. Disabling resets the page to Not connected and stops Sorceress from treating the local server as available.
Local server setup
The Settings page includes a Local Server Setup section with step-by-step setup commands and copy buttons. The page is designed so you can copy each command rather than typing it manually.
The visible setup flow is:
- Install Python if it is not already installed.
- Start the server using the command shown in Settings.
- Return to Settings and click Test connection.
The page notes that the server command should be run each time you want to use local server features. It also indicates that the command updates the local server before starting it.
Python is required. Optional media processing features require FFmpeg-style media support on your computer. If this optional component is missing, local project and preview features can still work, but audio/video processing features may not.
The Settings page includes a link to view the local server package source listing, plus copy buttons for setup and troubleshooting commands.
Browser permission for local access
Some browsers may show a permission prompt such as:
Access other apps and services on this device
This appears because Sorceress is trying to contact a server running on your own computer. This is expected when you intentionally click Connect local server or test the connection after enabling the integration.
Click Allow if you want to use local projects, previews, local processing, and supported local AI workflows. If you deny the prompt, the local server may remain offline from the browser’s point of view even if it is running.
Local AI setup notes
Settings includes notes for a supported local AI workflow used by Sorceress tools. On first setup, the local server may download an AI model of about 300 MB and install GPU-related dependencies. This can take time depending on your connection and computer.
Hardware guidance shown in Settings:
- NVIDIA GPU with 4 GB+ VRAM is recommended for the GPU workflow.
- A GTX 1060 or newer is listed as the minimum NVIDIA guideline.
- Apple Silicon Macs can use CPU mode.
- AMD GPU acceleration is not supported for that workflow at this time.
The Settings page also explains that the local AI processing resolution is adjusted automatically for each job. For example, smaller sprites use a lower processing mode and larger images use a higher one. When the resolution changes, the model may reload for a few seconds; no manual resolution configuration is needed.
Getting Started tutorial
Settings includes a right-side Getting Started panel with an embedded tutorial video. Use it if you are new to Sorceress or want an overview of the available tools and workflow.
Troubleshooting
I cannot access the profile page
Make sure you are signed in. If you are not signed in, Sorceress redirects you to the login page.
I am sent back to the home page from the login page
If you are already signed in, visiting the login page redirects you to the main site. Open My Profile from your account menu instead.
My profile image will not upload
Check that:
- The file is an image.
- The file is under 2 MB.
- You clicked Save after selecting the image.
If you selected the wrong file, click Cancel and choose another image.
My display name will not save
The display name cannot be empty. Enter at least one non-space character and save again.
I did not receive a password reset email
Check your spam or junk folder. If it still does not arrive, return to the forgot-password page and send another reset link.
My reset link says it is invalid or expired
Request a new password reset link from the reset page. Reset links may expire or become invalid after use.
The local server says Disabled
The local integration is off. Click Connect local server if you want Sorceress to try connecting to the server running on your computer.
The local server says Offline
Try the following:
- Start the local server using the setup instructions in Settings.
- Return to Sorceress Settings.
- Click Test connection.
- If prompted by your browser, allow local device access.
- Make sure another app is not already using the server port shown in Settings.
- If you changed your local setup, restart the server and test again.
The connection button does nothing or stays in a checking state
Wait a few seconds and try Test connection again. If your browser displayed a local access permission prompt, make sure you allowed it. Also confirm that the local server is actually running in a terminal window.
Local media processing does not work
Local audio/video processing requires optional media support on your computer. Check the Settings setup notes, install the optional media component if needed, restart the local server, and test the connection again.
The local AI setup is slow the first time
First-run local AI setup can download a model of about 300 MB and install GPU-related dependencies. This may take some time depending on your connection and computer.
Mac users see pink/purple output or crashes in the local AI workflow
Settings recommends CPU mode for affected Apple Silicon Macs. CPU mode is slower but more stable.
A warning says a Linux-only optimizer cannot be found
Settings identifies this as harmless on Windows. The local server can continue working without it.
A CUDA compatibility error appears on a newer NVIDIA GPU
Settings notes that this can happen with newer NVIDIA GPUs. Update to the latest local server version using the setup command shown in Settings, then restart the server.
