Improved vehicle route recovery across the Expedition
Terrain searches rotate fairly between vehicles, and planning and driving use the same spatial slope probe.
I changed terrain route recovery to rotate search expansions fairly between vehicles under the existing shared budget. Early units no longer consume every recovery opportunity.
I also matched the planner and driver to a consistent 20-centimetre slope probe. Short runtime steps had rejected routes that planning accepted.
“I changed terrain route recovery to rotate search expansions fairly between vehicles under the existing shared budget. Early units no longer consume every recovery opportunity.”
Previously stationary sampled jeeps advanced after the fair scheduling change, and six isolated checkpoint replays moved after the probe correction. Later whole-world samples also show several persistent attackers progressing.
The evaluation has now reached twenty simulated hours with successful reloads through hour twenty, using saved continuations and a protected-hero fixture with worms disabled. Five tracked vehicles still share a persistent slope jam, and four surviving factions finished with thirty to forty-five minutes without economic progress. These repairs improve specific failures; they do not solve every movement or deposit-access problem.
