Added free exploration and the Soldier Codex
Outside combat, soldiers now move freely through the world while a live 3D codex manages armor, weapons, injuries, and backpack storage.

The game now switches out of time-unit turns when no enemies are active. Soldiers can cross the depot freely, leave dust footprints, and enter combat only when contact demands it.
Equipment became physical and inspectable through the Soldier Codex. A live 3D model is surrounded by helmet, torso, arm, leg, glove, and boot slots.
“The tactical mission started breathing once the squad could exist between turns.”
The sixty-cell backpack supports drag-and-drop organization, while armor condition and anatomical injuries remain attached to the same soldier.
Exploration and inventory established the rhythm between firefights: move, inspect, redistribute equipment, and decide who is ready for the next contact.
