Strengthened terrain face contrast

Broad shading makes rendered slopes easier to read without changing walkability.

Just to Survive / Field recording

I strengthened the contrast between terrain faces so hills and rocky surfaces are easier to read from the field camera. The laterite ground keeps its broad color changes while slope shading gives the terrain more visible relief.

This is a rendering and camera-readability adjustment. It does not replace the terrain geometry or change where a survivor can walk. Those collision and traversal rules remain separate.

“Broad shading makes rendered slopes easier to read without changing walkability.”

The clips are deliberately paused views of the current field terrain at two camera distances. They show the slope faces, surface color and rocks around the survivor; they are not a before-and-after performance comparison or a traversal test.
