# Sorceress API: instructions for coding agents

Base URL: https://sorceress.games
Use SORCERESS_API_KEY from the user's environment as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
Never expose the key in browser code, logs, source control or conversation output. Never request a KIE provider key.

## Discover before implementing
GET /api/v1/models is public. It returns models with availability, toolId, modelKey, inputSchema, params and pricing. Only availability=api is invokable. Reference prices are not Sorceress prices.
GET /api/v1/tools requires the Sorceress key. Read its current parameter schemas, tool IDs, enabled/status flags and cost notes. Keys may be scoped to particular tools.
Read the linked model or tool page below for details. Do not guess IDs or input fields.

## Requests
POST /api/v1/tools/{toolId} with JSON matching that tool's parameters.
POST /api/v1/jobs with {"model":"<discovered modelKey>","input":{...model inputs}} for model_run entries.
POST /api/v1/chat/completions with {"model":"<discovered chat modelKey>","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"Hello"}]} for chat_completions entries.
Send Content-Type: application/json. Native image/video tools use their own parameter contracts; do not send generic jobs inputs to them.
Chat accepts OpenAI-style messages; supported capabilities depend on the selected model. Chat responses are buffered until completion, persistence and successful billing, including when stream=true.

## Completion and errors
Persist the returned job identifier. GET /api/v1/jobs/{id} with the same key to track asynchronous work. Inspect the response status and error; stop polling on succeeded or failed. Use a bounded backoff. Do not resubmit to poll.
Respect authorization/subscription/credit errors. Do not retry paid POST requests blindly. Never claim a generation succeeded before its terminal successful response.
Successful work is billed in Sorceress credits. Multi-step workflows can bill successful child steps even if a later step fails. Preserve returned assets and identifiers with the project.
New models whose pricing has not been activated are catalog previews. Do not bypass the pricing gate or invent a price.
